“Well, I’m sorry to hear that. You guys really had something special.” With that, she waddled out of the room, gently pulling the door shut.

“Yo, Charlie!” Lucian exclaimed.
Charlie looked over, rolling down his window. ‘What do you want, O’Conner?”
“The roads are lookin’ pretty empty tonight, don’t ya think?”
Charlie grinned. “What are you implying, Luc?”
Lucian smirked, revving his truck’s engine loudly. “Just making an observation.”
Charlie laughed, revving the engine of his Jeep even louder.”Observation my ass.”
Cardinal and I briefly exchanged worried glances from the two cars before I looked back over at Lucian. “L-Lucian, what are you doing?”
He winked. “Having some fun.”
“Lucian!”
“On the count of three?” He called over to Charlie.
Charlie nodded, gripping onto his steering wheel. “One…”
“Two…”
“THREE!”
Lucian’s truck bounded forward. I screamed out in surprise. This was NOT a good idea!
